Martial Arts Training is a discipline cultivating one’s body and spirit. A true practitioner of martial arts knows that only by spending long hours of practice, you will see the fruits of your training.

To me, martial arts or self defense is an addiction to perfecting our path of achieving ultimate dominance in the fighting arts. One needs to be aggressive but remain humble in learning from different masters that one crosses path with. “There is always a higher mountain” is a Chinese folklore saying that there is always someone who will be better/ knowledgeable that oneself, so be humble in order ro gain more knowledge.

What is the best martial arts?

Mastering a form of martial art is tough enough and many gave up in the middle of learning often because of the lack of tenacity to make our dreams come true. Not being able to see the final style of our own martial art form is often the regret of many martial practitioners.

Combining different styles of martial arts is called MMA or Mixed Martial Arts. For example, a deadly form of MMA style is Muay Thai and Jiujitsu combining close combat fighting of muay thai with Jiujitsu’s takedown and locking techniques into battle.

In the world of martial arts today, only a single form of martial arts is not good enough and having more options in fighting techniques has a higher chance of winning the battle.
